Shaan's curiosity about wildlife kicks off amidst the coffee plantations of Coorg, where he delved into his dad's extensive collection of the 1994 World Book Encyclopedia. Having perceived his Hospitality from Christ University, Bangalore, leading into wildlife hospitality & luxury lodge management & Making his mark with prestigious companies such as The Oberoi Hotel & Resorts at Ranthambore, Pugdundee Safaris at Pench, Jungle Lodges & Resorts at Nagarahole, Bison by Shaaz Jung at Kabini the PADI Dive Centre on the East Coast, Pondicherry and later at O'Land Wilderness Lodge at the Nilgiris, where he was managing a 120-acre IMO Control Private Limited certified tea plantation. Numerous night walks with curiosity towards Entomology have led to the contribution towards Spider field guide "Explore Spiders of India" by Karthikeyan S.

Shaan also completed an ambitious 65-day Trans-Himalayan expedition, curating immersive experiences focused on wildlife, landscapes, and cultural diversity from Ladakh to Kanyakumari. Through these journeys, he brings the natural world alive with a unique blend of storytelling, interpretation, and field experience. Through his lens, Shaan captures wildlife within the broader context of its habitat, using landscape photography to offer a wider perspective of the ecosystems encountered on safari & Conservation.
