Hello Rubaina, WOW ! thank you 🤩 so much for the amazing surprise tonight. We were absolutely thrilled with the romantic dinner but the pool and fabulous cake. The staff had make such an effort to create a beautiful spot with frangipani flowers, birthday banner and fairy lights. The dinner was delicious (standard is very high) and Boutal and the team sang and made a magical moment. I was genuinely surprised as I’d not expected it at all. Outstanding Service and a Seamless Experience with Audley Travel

We recently returned from a 24-day trip to India, expertly planned by James at Audley Travel. The itinerary was complex, covering two international flights, five internal flights, three long road trips, and stays in seven different hotels, one glamorous tent, and a luxurious three-day journey aboard the Maharajas’ Express.

Every detail of our trip was meticulously arranged, and Audley’s local representative, Rubaina, ensured we were well taken care of throughout. Everything ran like clockwork, giving us complete peace of mind while exploring a country that was entirely new to us.

The Maharajas’ Express was an absolute highlight—we were made to feel like royalty from the moment we stepped aboard. The staff simply couldn’t do enough for us, ensuring that every need was met with warmth and efficiency. The food was magnificent, and the excursions were incredibly well-organized, allowing us to explore incredible sites with ease and comfort. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The selection of hotels James chose was exceptional—each one offering a unique and unforgettable experience. Our absolute favourite was Rambagh Palace, which was truly high-end and nothing short of amazing. Even our one-night stay at The Leela in Mumbai, which Audley had advised had uninspiring rooms, turned out to be a wonderful surprise. Being in the Royal Club and upgraded to a suite was an unexpected delight—we genuinely wished we could have stayed longer!

The Amritsar hotel wasn’t in quite the same league as the others, but its location was ideal for visiting the Golden Temple and other key sights. We suspect it was one of the best options in the area, and given its convenience, it worked well for our itinerary.

A special mention must go to our drivers, particularly Ravi, who was with us for 10 days. Driving in India is an experience in itself—the roads are chaotic, noisy, and at times, completely unpredictable. However, we always felt incredibly safe in Ravi’s hands. His skill, patience, and calmness in navigating the madness made all the difference, allowing us to sit back and enjoy the journey without worry.

We were also extremely impressed with the local tour guides throughout the trip. Not only did they provide invaluable insight into India’s rich culture and history, but they also made sure we experienced authentic Indian life—from bustling markets to serene temples, from street food tastings to hidden gems we would have never found on our own. Their knowledge and passion truly enhanced our journey.

When one of our internal flights from Amritsar to New Delhi was suddenly cancelled, Rubaina acted swiftly to secure us an alternative flight. While other passengers were stranded overnight at the airport, Audley’s efficiency ensured we avoided that ordeal. Additionally, when I fell ill and had to cancel our New Delhi tour, they seamlessly rescheduled it for another day at no extra cost.

From start to finish, Audley Travel delivered an exceptional experience, making our trip truly unforgettable. A huge thank you to James, Rubaina, Ravi, and all the incredible guides for their outstanding service—we couldn’t have asked for a better travel partner!

As our first cultural tour, it was a great experience – I think a couple of tweaks to add in an adventure (walk/Trek/activity) and perhaps slightly less on the temple/religion and  it would have marginally enhanced the holiday further to an even higher level. But we generally do more adventure and less culture. We enjoyed the history but found by end ready to skip a couple of temples.

I know I’m fussy, having been to over 55 countries and probably do a great deal of trips and far more than most. We really enjoyed it and appreciated all you did and would have no hesitation in recommending you if we have friends travelling to India to book though you to have Parmod! Mohammed was very responsive and played a good role in supporting us along the way but the star of the show was Parmod.

So thank you for everything! A great trip happy memories and tons of photos which I now need to work my way through!

I’m now back home and, with your help, all the transfer arrangements and flights went very smoothly. The representative who met me in Nagpur was a great help in getting me into the airport as the security staff wouldn’t let me through the entrance without a boarding pass. I hadn’t been able to obtain one in advance when I checked in for the flight. 

The Audley representative and driver  in Delhi were really good too. It makes a huge difference having local support when travelling through unfamiliar airports and the whole experience is much less stressful!

Everything went like clockwork. The trip had exactly the right balance of culture and wildlife. We had some excellent guides and naturalists. 
We loved all the accommodation, they were all different and all excellent choices. 
We had more tiger sightings than we could have hoped for - 29 tiger sightings, many close. We saw them swimming, drinking at a water hole, a kill right in front of us, tigresses and cubs, walking close to the jeep, it could not have better. 
 
Thank you for all the extras you did for us to make it such a fabulous holiday….it was all perfect.

Gary and I are having the most wonderful time and we cannot thank you enough for putting together this extraordinary trip. Everything, from our itinerary in Delhi, our accommodations in Nepal and sightseeing there, our week in Bhutan and now Flame of the Forest.
When we got here we knew immediately that we wanted more time and our experience has been beyond expectations 
We still have one full day safari left, but thus far, we have had 3 tiger sightings, seen the wild dogs up close and been within feet of a leopard. Unfortunately, it was hidden in the bush and we could hear it, hoping it would cross the road in front of us, but it outsmarted us and exited out of sight. One jeep caught a glimpse.

I also want to share what a pleasure lt has been to work with Rubaina. She has been incredible!  No request has gone unanswered and she was instrumental in getting our itinerary reworked so that we could have the additional time at Kanha. I have thanked her but I really want you and Audley to know how wonderful she has been to us, frequently responding to our requests after office hours from home. While we were in Bhutan, she took the initiative in arranging more sightseeing for us for those extra days we had in Delhi, suggesting things to do and even got us a table at Bukhara on the night of Diwali!
She is really incredible. I told Bryn when she was here, but I really want the company to know how great she has been throughout our entire time here

We are finally back from our wonderful trip to India, which exceeded expectations and has left us with some enduring memories of a lifetime. It was certainly a “Grand Tour” of the subcontinent, but we are so glad to have been able to cover such a vast territory and make many good friends along the way. A couple of highlights (of which there were many,many, many!), must be spotting a leopard and tigers at Kanha and taking breakfast overlooking Kanchenjunga at Glenburn Tea Plantation. 

Audley’s  choice of accommodations and private excursions was outstanding, quite superlative indeed, all  the agents, guides, drivers and support at all stages was truly amazing. However, I feel we must call out one individual in particular, without whom we could have had a very different experience due to the Indigo flight disruptions. RUBAINA MIRZA!  Even before we left the US from establishing contact and ensuring we had all the arrival information and contact numbers, through to her STAYING AWAKE AND ONLINE EVERY DAY until we were safely and securely checked in at our accommodations, no matter the hour of day or night, and - here she truly excelled - managing through the last minute emergency thrown up by the Indigo flight disruptions to book alternative flights, arrange payments, cancellations and refunds, and adjust timings accordingly, while managing to preserve the overall itinerary for us,  and especially enabling that final day safari drive where we got to see the tigers. If ever there was someone who truly went above and beyond, Rubaina is the person! The ultimate success of our trip at the end of the of the day is down to Rubaina, who proved she can handle any curved ball thrown at her with good grace, efficiency and exceptional service.

We had a very interesting Mumbai by Dawn experience this morning, it’s amazing just what happens in the docks and streets whilst most people are still asleep.  It was all fascinating if a little smelly at the fish market.  Again, our thanks for swapping the trips as we thoroughly enjoyed this morning.

We both can honestly say our trip around India with Audley has been exciting, fun and educational, we have enjoyed every minute of our tour.

It was definitely seamless and yes, having a single point of contact as yourself has worked perfectly.

What can we say other than ‘thank you’ to everyone, guides, drivers and especially yourself and your team.  We will definitely be feeding back our experiences with Findley, he is so fortunate to have you on his team here in India.

We commence the second part of our stay tomorrow when we travel down to Goa and spend time with our friends and relax on the beautiful beaches.

So again, our sincerely gratitude to yourself and everyone who made our tour of India one to remembers for all the very best reasons.

I hope you do not mind, but Rubaina gave me your email address because having just returned from our Audley Travel organised trip to India, followed by a few days relaxation in the Maldives, I wanted to thank you, as their local representative, on behalf of my wife Elaine and our friends Arnold and Barbara Iversen, for a superbly organised and hugely successful first trip to India. Everything about the trip was excellent, from the ground transportation to the meet and greet and drop offs, to the guides and drivers. However, I must make mention of two special people. Rubaina was superb. She contacted me as soon as we arrived, stayed in touch with me throughout the whole trip and made sure we had all the information we needed. What an absolute star and what a credit to your organisation. The other person was our main driver Mr Balbeer Singh. Not only a very pleasant person, who fitted in with us all, but someone who we felt really cared – and he was an excellent driver.

So, a highly successful and enjoyable holiday made better by the team at Travel Inn – and we saw 19 tigers and a leopard!!! Not a bad result. I also intend contacting the CEO of Audly Travel to let him know how pleased we were with all the local arrangements. I trust you have no objection.

On a personal note, I sincerely appreciated not only the proactive work you were doing behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly, from coordinating connections, flights, and transfers with different lodges and hotels but even more so the very kind and thoughtful little gestures that helped ensure Nate had the most special time away.  From helping arrange special experiences (he loved the elephant experience!) to gifting him the chocolate and the rhino squishy he is currently sleeping with 😊.

Wishing you the very best and once his little brother is old enough, we may be back with the whole family to see some more of your beautiful country (we just couldn’t squeeze Gir Forest and Shimla into an already packed itinerary this time around!) so hope to see you down the road again sometime…

Sorry this has taken me a while to do.

Can you please pass on our thanks below to the team in India for our wonderful stay in March.

Having Murali as our driver once again was lovely.  He is such a nice person, he's happy, kind, helpful, knowledgeable on all kinds of subjects, particularly agriculture and nature related, he knows his history and important sites to visit.  But most importantly an extremely safety conscious driver.  He's chatty, with a good command of English, but never intrusive.  We felt completely safe with him at the wheel.  His car was always beautifully clean, wonderfully stocked with snacks and bottled water.  He thought of everything, even down to wet wipes and hand cleanser (which I inadvertently stole!  Ooops!)  We like to consider him our friend and couldn't recommend him higher!

Having a single point of contact in India proved to be invaluable for us.  We were extremely fortunate to have had Rubaina as ours.  She was so helpful and efficient, dealing with some difficult people (who incidentally kept her late for work one morning) on our behalf.  All the time remaining calm and ever friendly.  Again, we can't praise her highly enough.  Thank you Rubaina!

Our guide on our tour around Mysuru was David, who was another wonderful addition to our holiday.  He was so thoughtful, helpful, considerate, knowledgeable and again, very friendly.  His English was excellent.  David showed us the important details of the palace making it very interesting and amusing.  But the best part was the evening visit to see it light up in the night sky.  We learned so much and found it absolutely fascinating.  Well done David and thank you

As we have already discussed, all three of them were absolutely invaluable in their own field of expertise and a great credit to the India team.  Thank you Sam, and Audley, for introducing them in to our wonderful trip

Thank you Sam for working so hard to create this trip for us, especially given our precise requirements to meet up with Maxine and Simon on their visit to India.  We appreciate how tricky that made the scheduling for you, but again you came up with a wonderful holiday for us.  We can't thank you enough either.

Incidentally, you even managed to get the Safari parks open again for our visit which was the absolute icing on the cake!  What a holiday!

One person stands out as an individual that others throughout the world should aspire to (and we have travelled plenty!). Rubaina Mirza of Travel Inn was quite simply amazing. She kept in almost daily touch (but definitely NOT too much) and kept us informed of everything by WhatsApp with humour and warmth. She deserves massive praise. She even wanted to know that we had arrived home safely. We seriously cannot praise her enough. Raj in Delhi was also amazing - he greeted us when we first arrived and saw us off back to the UK having been an "ever-present" meet and greet representative. A friendly face and personal greeting at the airport is worth loads when you are tired from a flight. We LOVED Indian Accent, a truly excellent experience. The whole trip worked like clockwork, as it should. Every vehicle was clean, comfortable, spacious and on time and the overall organisation was exemplary.

We had an absolutely brilliant time in Mumbai. Such a lovely city full of wonderful architecture and friendly people. The Trident is a lovely hotel and we had fabulous views of the bay from our room 😮 Shubam got us to and from wherever we needed to be and it was really good to have the same driver for the duration. He is such a lovely young man and so calm in amongst the Mumbai traffic! 

We loved all of our trips snd felt we got a good overview of what the city had to offer. The street food tour with Nameesha was excellent. The food was delicious and her enthusiasm for ensuring we enjoyed every minute was much appreciated. As was her dawn tour. We learned so much and Nameesha's explanations of life in these areas meant we learned so much

Our trip to Elephanta Island was so interesting and Marnik is a superb guide. So knowledgeable and articulate in a way that really brought the cravings to life. She looked after us extremely well 😊

Our city tour with Depeeka was excellent. We covered so much in the time we had and she was so enthusiastic about her city and keen to share

We really have had the most amazing journey through India with many memories we will treasure from the foothills of the Himalayas to the Aarti ceremonies in the Ganga. The fantastic sightings of tigers and a sloth bear to the amazing city of Mumbai. We are truly blessed!

Thank you to you and your team for ensuring we got the most out of our trip, making it seamless and for personally keeping in touch. It really was appreciated and the added bonus of meeting you in Delhi 😊

Secondly, Rubaina. What an absolute superstar. She was always one step ahead of us, briefing the next step of the trip with perfect timing. We’ve been on trips where the in country contact was either anonymous or overpowering, Rubaina was just brilliant. Please give her our thanks"

Thirdly, our driver Dev. We didn’t realise that when he picked us up on arrival in Delhi, he would be with us until he dropped us off at the airport in Udaipur. Having the opportunity to build trust and a relationship with him, on some ‘dodgy’ city roads was great. Jake, particularly liked Dev, and he went out of his way to make Jake feel comfortable. 

Finally, the guides, all were well informed, and happy to talk about the broader Hindu culture, which was something really important for Sian and I to understand
